iTunes Library Migration
This program is a stand-alone application that doesn't require installation.
It lets you change the location of the tracks in your iTunes library to a new drive on the disk. It doesn't move the files, you need to do that manually first (just cut and paste the folder from its current drive to a new desired one). Reason to do it that way is that it's more convenient than doing it inside the program.
The relative paths need to remain the same, only the drive can change. Launch the application and enter the old and the new drive. The program will fix the location of all the files in your iTunes library to point to the new drive.
The program uses the iTunes library XML file to locate the original path for each track and update it to point to the new drive, thus fixing the missing/broken paths after the files are manually moved. A simple and self-explanatory GUI makes the process easy to follow.
The user should do a test first with a sample file for safety. For example, move a file like "D:\MP3\Abba - SOS.mp3" to "E:\MP3\Abba - SOS.mp3" and launch the program to see how it works. Updated files are added to a new playlist called Updt_location in iTunes.
For being a stand-alone program, it may take a while to launch depending on your system speed, since bundled files need to be extracted and decompressed to a temporary folder prior to running. iTunes needs to be closed before launching the application.
Disclaimer, this program works with iTunes 12.10.3, but it hasn't been tested in all releases. It should work as long as the version is not too old or too recent.
Prior to running the program on all your music collection, be sure to run a test on a single sample file for safety.
